ESHO SIKHI PROJECT

Project Title: ESHO SIKHI PROJECT (এসো শিখি প্রকল্প), Cohort-1 Baseline Survey-2022

Project timeline: 2022 – 2023

USAID’s Esho Shikhi (ES) Activity is a five-year (2021-2026) project which will increase learning opportunities, enhance teaching quality and teaching learning materials to improve quality education in selected subjects, strengthen the capacity of field-level mentors to deliver quality education, and improve school communities’ ability to mitigate and manage the effects of shocks and stressors on education access and quality.
The project will be implemented in eight (8) Divisions, fifteen (15) Districts and seventy-nine (79) Upazilas, targeting 10,000 schools and 20,000 bangla teachers from Grade 1 and Grade 2 in Bangladesh. Esho Shikhi will conduct student learning assessment (SLA) and collect the data from student interview of grade 2, Bangla teacher and Head teacher interview and classroom observation. An experienced and eligible firm will be responsible to conduct this SLA.

Results and policy lessons

The result is private to the client.

• Government primary school- 100 Schools
• Bangla Class (Grade-2) ovservation-100 Schools

• EGRA (Grade-2) Survey-1200 Students both girls and boys

• Head Teacher Interview-100 Students both girls and boys

• Bangla Teacher (Grade-2) Interview-100 Students both girls and boys
