FIU Testimonial for ECONS: The Evaluation and Consulting Services Limited (ECONS) provided outstanding support to Florida International University (FIU) in conducting fieldwork for a research project funded by the National Science Foundation (USA). They carried out face-to-face interviews with more than 2000 households for collecting data on coastal vulnerability and livelihood security (CVLS) in Bangladesh. The project started in 2015 and the fieldwork that was conducted both in urban and rural areas required a high level of reliability in the data collection process. In addition to socioeconomic and demographic data, the survey team also collected the geolocation of the households and their soil and water samples. The ECONS members performed these assigned tasks with a great deal of diligence. They closely worked with the FIU team and actively participated in every step of the data collection (questionnaire development, tarring, pretesting, survey implementation, quality control, data cleaning and management, and field report production). The survey implementation for this project was tricky and time-consuming as it required to match the sample with another 15-year-old nationally representative survey (Household Income and Expenditure Survey-2000). Enriched with unique local knowledge, the ECONS members completed this difficult task with a high level of professionalism. They delivered their products on time, and they went above and beyond their responsibilities to answer any data related question long after their contract ended with FIU. The team is highly committed in maintaining the data quality in their fieldwork and I highly recommend their services.
