Biography:
Having a first degree in Statistics (B.Sc. & M.Sc.) and MPS and PhD degree in Demography, I have been working as fixed-term and consultant in Bangladesh, in the UK and many other countries remotely since the mid-1980s. During professional involvement, worked for large data management and analyses (primary & secondary sources); conducting research covering different issues like Public Health, Sexual & Reproductive Health, Violence against Women & Child, Tobacco Control, Accident & Injuries, etc.; designing and conducting several surveys (quantitative & qualitative); initiating and implementing many formative, mid-term, summative assessment including impact evaluations; frequently been involved in developing a research proposal, designing sampling strategies (calculating precision, power & weights), facilitating training, manuscript writing for journal publications; maintaining result-based monitoring system for making correction measure in feeding back to the large household census/rolling census. Besides, producing processes, documents, scientific findings, policy briefing for greater dissemination. I am acquainted in developing questionnaires covering multi-dimensional aspects and linking multiple indicators as well as logical set-up for electronic data collection devices/tools (PDA, EPIDATA, ODK). I am equipped with the technique of several databases like EXCEL, ACCESS, SQL rational database, DIRWEB (net-base), DHIS2 etc. By managing complex sets of information and thereafter continuously analyzed data use sophisticated analytical packages like SAS, STATA, SPSS, EPI-info, and CLINISTAT including ATLAS-ti, for qualitative data analysis. I am regularly been communicating with multidisciplinary scientific team members, academicians, researchers, and commissioning agencies including stakeholders and donors in the government and INGO/NGO for strategic activities and delivering outputs as per their requirements.
